My name is Andrew
Eno Kai is the pseudonym in which I operate under in my artwork.
I grew up in a small town in Southwestern Ontario and have lived in various areas in the province since leaving home. I have been a self-taught artist since around 2015 – although I have been pursuing creative hobbies since childhood. Since my discovery of artistic music and imagery I have had a deep seeded interest in visual creation. As an independent artist I am now working with various mediums and techniques to develop my style.
I take inspiration from vivid dreams, deep thought meditation exercises- At times I am able to reach a form of thought that allows me to generate unique ideas when I am in a certain mood. While experiences vary greatly, I am able to visualize these ideas when at my peak thought process.
Inspiration often comes from life experiences and subjects I am familiar with overcoming adversity, not belonging, connecting with other people and finding meaning in life. This is combined with experiences in nature as well as my other interests. Specifically, geology, human anatomy, animal behavior, alchemy and ancient civilizations. I have always been intrigued by animals and nature but also in human psychology / human conditions. I try not to limit the style or subjects of my work too much but almost always try to incorporate some interaction / play with energy in its various forms. To me at the end of the day, it’s all about the image and the viewer.
My style is constantly evolving and changing with the goal of improving with each new painting. I frequently experiment and continue styles and subjects through multiple series of painting which follow a vague series of worlds / dimensions which are all loosely connected to one another.
My Goal is to create as many unique experiences as possible within my art through life interpretations and imagery. Art is one of my avenues to accomplish this endeavor.
I work on paintings of various sizes and with mediums including: Acrylic, graphite, and spray paint.

-7+ years mixed media / part time image creation & manipulation on various mediums
Acrylic Painting by hand
-Using specialized brush and layering techniques to create paintings on multiple surfaces, typically canvas
Spray Painting;
-Setup of workshop and creation of original images using glossy spray paint on posterboard surfaces
-Paint manipulation is achieved using palette knives, sponges, papers, and stencils
-Safely work with toxic chemicals in closed environments
Photography
-Work with digital camera to photograph art & studio for display and promotion
Graphic Design;
-3 years experience as a full time drafter
-Experience with GIMP, Adobe, MS PPT, Lightworks software
Education:
B.A. Geography, P.G. GIS GM.
-Studied art theory from 2010-2016 in various individual courses
-Currently studies art theory and art practice part time
